Why Shoal Bay Holiday Park Is a Local Favourite
When you want the best of everything, plus easy access to a glorious beach, Shoal Bay Holiday Park has it all. James Cook, from the Port Stephens Council, gave Macca an update on the park, the upgrades and new facilities that the park now boasts.
A big upgrade was the amenities block. You don’t skimp with this one — you put over $1 million into it. Why? Because your guests want to start their day without worrying if the shower head is OK or not!
Accommodation & Sites
Like Macca and Tania you can BYO your accommodation. There are around 80 caravan sites here, including some ensuite sites, but that doesn’t really describe the full choice of sites. You can have powered camp sites, powered caravan sites plus powered double-slab motorhome sites. It all depends on your BYO setup.
If you fancy camping but don’t have a tent – never fear! Shoal Bay Holiday Park has some glamorous on-site ‘tents’ that give you the fun of camping under canvas with the luxury of a proper bed, cooking facilities and your own bathroom. The tents are raised off the ground to keep the dirt where it should be. They’re in their own little area, just perfect for a family gathering with their own central space.
Cabins for Every Traveller
When it comes to cabins, there are great options too. It all depends on how many are coming and what you want in your cabin. The six styles range in size from the one-bedroom Standard Villa (with bathroom) to the four-bedroom Superior Villa (with bathroom). If you have mobility issues, the two-bedroom Standard Villa Accessible (with bathroom) has been set up to work with you and for you.

Park Facilities and Extras
The park has some great facilities, including a conference room perfect for group bookings or a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ staff training retreat.
Just 2.5 hours north of Sydney and part of Australia’s Blue Water Paradise, Shoal Bay Holiday Park is the place to come when you want to kick back and relax – right over the road from the beach and just a couple of minutes from the beautiful Shoal Bay.
