1. How is this portable brake controller powered and installed?

It powers from the 7 or 12-pin trailer plug. The in-cabin remote uses USB and connects wirelessly.

2. Why do I legally need an electric brake controller?

By law, trailers over 750kg need brakes. Those over 2,000kg require an electric controller like this one.

3. Do I need to use my mobile phone to operate it?

No, a phone isn’t needed. It has its own self-sufficient in-vehicle remote with a built-in colour screen.

4. What safety features does it have if the connection fails?

It has fail-safe braking, so it works even if the signal drops. It also has audible alarms.

5. How much control do I have over the braking, and is it durable?

It offers 30 levels of fine brake adjustment. It’s also IP67-rated for river crossings and beach driving.
