For years, What’s Up Downunder has celebrated the people, places, vans, campgrounds and road trips that make the Australian caravanning lifestyle so special. Now, we’re inviting you to share your own favourite travel moment with us.
Think “old school” – 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s.
Whether it’s your caravan parked up beside the beach, your family around the campfire, your dog living its best life on the road, your rig rolling through the outback, or that sunset photo you still talk about, we’d love to see it.
Selected photos will be featured in the new Whats Up Downunder TV opening segment, giving our viewers a chance to become part of the show.
What Kind of Photos Are We Looking For Whats Up Downunder TV?
We’re looking for real Aussie travel moments from our viewers.
Anything that was taken around the 50s-90s eras.
They don’t need to be professional photos. They just need to capture the feeling of life on the road.
You might like to submit a photo of:
- Your caravan, camper, motorhome or tow vehicle
- A favourite campsite
- A campfire moment
- A family road trip memory
- Your dog or pets on the road
- A beach, bush, high country or outback camp
- A big lap moment
- A favourite caravan park
- A photo that sums up why you love caravanning and camping

How to Submit Your Photo
Submitting your photo is simple. Click the link below, upload your favourite photo, and tell us a little bit about where it was taken.
You’ll also be asked to confirm that you own the photo or have permission to submit it, and that anyone identifiable in the image has given permission for it to be used.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Before submitting your photo, please make sure:
- The photo is your own, or you have permission to submit it
- Any people shown in the photo are happy for it to be shared
- If children appear in the image, you have parent or guardian permission
- The image is clear and suitable for broadcast or digital use
- You understand that submitting a photo does not guarantee it will be featured
