The Future of Network RV: What JB Group’s Acquisition Means for Owners, Dealers and the Australian Caravan Industry

When a respected caravan manufacturer changes hands, it’s rarely just another business story. For owners, it’s about confidence in the brand they’ve invested in. For dealers, it’s about continuity and future opportunities. And for the Australian caravan industry, it’s often a sign of where local manufacturing is heading.

That’s why JB Group’s acquisition of the intellectual property of Network RV is one of the most significant industry announcements of 2026. More than a simple acquisition, it represents the coming together of two well-known names in Australian caravanning. It also sends a positive message about the value of Australian-built brands at a time when local manufacturing continues to evolve.

For thousands of Network RV owners, there are naturally questions about warranties, servicing and what comes next. For prospective buyers, the announcement raises another question: what will the next generation of Network RV products look like under JB Group ownership? While the integration is only just beginning, the direction is already becoming clearer.

A New Chapter for Network RV

Network RV has built a strong reputation for producing Australian-designed caravans suited to the way Australians travel. Over the years, the business grew into a family of brands that included Network RV, NextGen Caravans, Victory Caravans and Vancraft Caravans, offering everything from touring caravans through to premium off-road models.

Like much of the industry, the business experienced significant challenges as the market adjusted following the unprecedented demand created during the COVID domestic travel boom. Yet throughout those changes, the brands themselves retained considerable value. Their engineering, product development, reputation and loyal customer base made them attractive assets for an established manufacturer looking to invest in Australian production. That is where JB Group enters the story.

Why JB Group Made the Move

Over the past 14 years, JB Group has quietly grown into one of Australia’s largest caravan and motorhome manufacturing businesses. From its manufacturing facilities in Victoria and Queensland, the company has produced more than 40,000 vehicles and built an impressive portfolio including:

  • JB Caravans – Premium Australian-built touring and off-road caravans.
  • New Age Caravans – One of Australia’s most recognised family caravan brands.
  • Traveller Caravans – Lightweight and off-road touring caravans.
  • Paradise Luxury Motorhomes – Australian-built luxury motorhomes.

The acquisition of Network RV’s intellectual property strengthens that portfolio while expanding JB Group’s reach across even more areas of the market. Importantly, JB Group has confirmed it will take over production of Network RV, NextGen and Victory caravans, with manufacturing moving to its established production facility in Campbellfield, Victoria.

For customers, that’s an important signal. Rather than simply acquiring a brand name, JB Group is investing in continued Australian manufacturing using an existing, experienced production operation.

More Than Buying a Name

The term “intellectual property” often sounds like legal jargon, but in manufacturing it represents the heart of a business. It includes product designs, engineering drawings, manufacturing knowledge, technical documentation, tooling, model names and years of research and development. These are the assets that give a caravan its identity.

By acquiring the intellectual property of Network RV, JB Group gains the ability to continue developing those products while applying its own manufacturing expertise, quality systems and engineering capability. Rather than beginning again, it can build on decades of Australian caravan design.

What This Means for Existing Owners

For current owners, this is naturally the biggest question. Whenever ownership changes, concerns quickly turn to warranties, servicing, spare parts and long-term support.

JB Group has addressed those concerns directly. The company has acknowledged there are customers with outstanding warranty matters that pre-date the acquisition and has committed to working with both owners and dealers to understand each case and establish a clear pathway forward.

In the meantime, customers should continue to work with their selling dealer on any outstanding warranty items. JB Group and the dealer will work together in the background to resolve them.

Chief Executive Officer Chris Polites said: “We know trust has to be earned, and for some customers that starts with resolving warranty issues that have gone on too long. We’re committed to engaging openly with those customers and our dealer partners, being upfront about timeframes, and making this right.”

While individual warranty processes are still being developed, the commitment itself is significant. It demonstrates that existing owners are viewed as part of the future of the business, not simply a legacy of the past.

Familiar Dealers, Backed by a Larger Manufacturer

One of the more important announcements accompanying the acquisition is JB Group’s decision to maintain a dedicated dealer network for the Network RV brands. Rather than folding those brands into the existing JB Group dealer network, Network RV, NextGen and Victory will continue to operate through their own retail channel.

Although the full network is still being finalised, JB Group expects a number of existing Network RV dealers to remain part of that structure. For owners, that’s welcome news. It means many customers may continue dealing with businesses that already understand the products while benefiting from the manufacturing capability and resources of a much larger organisation. It’s a balance that preserves the identity of the brands while strengthening the support behind them.

Campbellfield Becomes the New Manufacturing Home

Perhaps the most tangible outcome of the acquisition is where future caravans will be built. JB Group has confirmed production of Network RV, NextGen and Victory will move into its existing Campbellfield manufacturing facility in Melbourne.

Production is expected to start from August 2026, with custom orders being prioritised as the transition into Campbellfield takes place.

For buyers, local production matters. Established production facilities bring experienced manufacturing teams, refined quality control processes, supplier relationships and engineering support that have been developed over many years. It also reinforces JB Group’s ongoing investment in Australian manufacturing at a time when locally built caravans continue competing strongly against imported alternatives.

A Positive Story for Australian Manufacturing

This acquisition is also part of a much bigger trend. Australia’s caravan industry has matured significantly over the past decade. Manufacturers have invested heavily in automation, engineering, customer support and production efficiency while consumer expectations have continued to rise.

Following the extraordinary demand of the COVID years, buyers are taking longer to research purchases and placing greater emphasis on manufacturer reputation, after-sales support and long-term confidence. That environment naturally favours businesses capable of investing for the future. Larger manufacturing groups often have greater capacity to improve engineering, maintain spare parts supply, expand dealer support and continue developing new products. For Australian consumers, those investments ultimately translate into confidence.

Consolidation Can Preserve Great Brands

The word “consolidation” sometimes creates concern within any industry. But consolidation can also preserve brands that might otherwise struggle to continue independently.

Rather than allowing respected Australian caravan brands to disappear, this acquisition gives them an opportunity to continue evolving under experienced ownership with established manufacturing capability. That benefits existing owners, future buyers and the broader industry alike. Just as importantly, it keeps Australian caravan design and manufacturing expertise here in Australia.

What Happens Next?

The announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter rather than the final destination. Over the coming months, JB Group is expected to release additional information regarding dealer appointments, customer communications, warranty pathways and future product plans.

Production of Network RV, NextGen and Victory will transition into the Campbellfield facility, starting from August 2026 with custom orders prioritised, while the dealer network continues to be established. Many owners will also be watching closely to see how future models evolve and how each brand maintains its own identity under JB Group ownership. Those announcements will help shape the next phase of the Network RV story.

Looking Ahead

Every successful Australian caravan brand has evolved over time. Ownership changes. Manufacturing improves. New technology arrives. Customer expectations continue to rise. The businesses that succeed are those willing to invest, not only in products, but also in people, engineering, dealers and long-term customer support.

JB Group’s acquisition of Network RV’s intellectual property represents exactly that kind of investment. It brings together one of Australia’s largest caravan manufacturing groups with a respected family of caravan brands, preserving valuable Australian engineering while creating opportunities for future growth.

For Network RV owners, there is genuine reason for optimism. Their brands now have the backing of an established manufacturer with proven production capability, a growing national footprint and a clear commitment to supporting both dealers and customers. For JB Group, the acquisition expands an already impressive portfolio while reinforcing its position as one of Australia’s leading RV manufacturers. And for the Australian caravan industry, it is another reminder that strong Australian brands continue to matter.

As production begins in Campbellfield and further announcements are made regarding dealers, customer support and future product development, one thing is already becoming clear: this isn’t the end of the Network RV story. It’s the beginning of its next chapter.
