Welcome to the Barossa Valley
Although only a short trip from Hahndorf, we were all excited to be arriving at the beautiful Barossa Valley. In particular, the Discovery Park in Tanunda, a gorgeous little town in the Barossa Region. Discovery Parks – Barossa Valley is a very popular destination for wine lovers and families alike. It offers a wide range of accommodations to suit those who arrive with their homes on wheels. There is also accommodation for those looking for a stay in one of the well-appointed and varied cabins.

Caravan and Cabin Options
There are three types of caravan sites: the unpowered site, a normal powered site and the premium site. These sites are easily accessible shaded sites close to the children’s play areas, including the pool. Cabin accommodation ranges from deluxe two- and three-bedroom houses. Additionally, there are deluxe cabins, superior cabins, standard cabins and economy cabins that sleep various amounts of guests.
Safari Tents and Adults-Only Luxury
And then you have the very popular Safari Tents. These adults-only tents are nestled within a private area of the park. Eco-friendly, the safari tents are set amongst native gums with beautiful vineyard views. Sharing a private swimming pool, premium BBQ and lounge area is the ultimate place for adults to unwind. Each tent has been meticulously designed to be environmentally sustainable. Moreover, they feature an ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and spacious bedroom – each one configured with king-sized or twin bedding.

Perfectly Positioned for Barossa Exploring
The park itself is located a few minutes from the centre of Tanunda. It features a plethora of wine bars, gorgeous gift shops that specialise in Barossa Valley fare, and cafes galore. The rural setting of the park gives a sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s the perfect place to unwind and relax. If you’re travelling with kids, they’re going to have an absolute ball!
Fun and Family-Friendly Facilities
Apart from the normal pool, there is an awesome water park. It is where the younger set will spend hours in those warmer (and cooler) months. There’s also a jumping pillow, a playground, a bike station and a basketball court to keep them entertained. These facilities are all located together, making it easy to keep an eye on the little ones. Other features and amenities include a fire pit, BBQ area, pizza oven, kiosk, laundry, bathroom facilities and a beautifully kept camp kitchen.
A Truly Lovely Park
Discovery Parks Barossa Valley is a truly lovely park. It is located so close to the attractions that bring you to the Barossa Valley in the first place. It is well managed by very helpful people who really care about you and your stay.
