1. Who are we?

We are The Trustee for What’s Up Down Under Australia Trust and our affiliated businesses (“we”, “us”, “our”). We operate a media and content platform in Australia, delivering TV, digital, print, and promotional services. 

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using our website, services, or participating in promotions, you agree to this policy. 

2. Mandatory Collection Notice

We collect personal information so we can provide and improve our services, including competitions, subscriptions, events, advertising services, customer support, and website functionality. 

Required information includes:

  • Age/date of birth for competition eligibility 
  • Details required for prize distribution 

If you do not provide required information, we may be unable to: 

  • Enter you in competitions 
  • Contact winners 
  • Provide newsletters or marketing you have requested

Optional information helps us customise your experience but is not mandatory. 

3. What personal information do you collect?

4. How do you collect my information?

  • Directly from you (via website forms, competitions, subscriptions, phone, email, surveys, or events) 
  • Automatically through cookies, Google Analytics, ad networks, and tracking pixels including Meta Pixel, Google Ads/Analytics, and TikTok Pixel 
  • From third-party providers or business partners who supply us with databases or services 
  • Through unsolicited information, which we manage according to law (destroy or de-identify if not needed) 

Where lawful and practical, you can interact with us anonymously or use a pseudonym. 

5. Why do you collect my information?

We use your information to:

Yes. Our website uses cookies and tracking tools (including Google Analytics, ad networks, and Meta, Google, and TikTok tracking pixels). These may collect:

9. Who do you share my information with?

When no longer required, we securely destroy or de-identify information. 

16. How can I access or correct my information?
