Heritage off-road caravan brand Sunland has released a gorgeous family caravan in a compact 18ft 6in format, the Sunland Caravans 18’6 LTD Edition, at Melbourne Leisurefest. Light inside, with ample windows, the Sunland Caravans 18’6 LTD Edition gets off to a good start thanks to industry-leading innovative chassis. Warren Parrot catches up with Tarrot Wyss for more.

  • Features proven Sunland Caravans 18’6 LTD Edition heritage chassis design
  • Moulded frame balances water tanks
  • Full composite construction saves weight
  • Side-mounted Gusto dust reduction

Compact Family Layout With Full Composite Construction

Inside this compact family-friendly model, we find a space saving bench seating opposite the kitchen. The Sunland Caravans also features two bunks running campside opposite a corner ensuite. That’s seen here with an OGO Origin composting toilet. Towards the front, around the main bedroom we see stacked windows provide ample airflow – “perfect for bush camping,” as Tarrot explains. This makes the Sunland Caravans LTD a perfect choice for varied adventures.

Proprietary Chassis Design Proven for 15 Years

Sunland’s proprietary chassis design offers distinct advantages beyond weight savings. Tarrot explains how they mould the frame to position water tanks directly between the suspension components. This strategic placement maintains perfect stability and balance, regardless of whether the tanks are full or empty. In fact, the Sunland 18’6 LTD Edition ensures unparalleled durability and performance.

Gusto Dust Reduction System And Off-Road Feature

To combat Australian dust, Sunland equips this model with the award-winning Gusto dust reduction system. Unlike standard roof-mounted units, this system mounts on the side wall, preserving valuable roof real estate. This essential addition ensures the interior of the Sunland Caravans 18’6 LTD Edition remains clean during rugged off-road adventures. The 18’6 LTD is ideal for ensuring a pristine environment amid challenging landscapes.
