Nicholson, Vic: Classic caravan park camping is here to stay judging by a two-year investment undertaken by Gippsland’s Lakes Bushland Caravan & Lifestyle Park into traditional camping.

Reliable Power for Gippsland Campers

The recent revitalisation of 111 large, grassy powered campsites and the rollout of 26 power heads underway means campers can not only expect to enjoy quality, traditional camping experiences today but into the future as well.

The Gippsland-based park is also investing in power infrastructure to help meet the anticipated summer load.

“The new transformer will ensure we can provide all campsites with at least 16A of electricity at any time,” says owner April Whiston.

Upgrades to sullage and storm water infrastructure are also underway.

A Revamped Rustic Camp Kitchen

Lakes Bushland Caravan & Lifestyle Park kickstarted the camper’s renovation a little over two years ago, with a practical but sympathetic revamp of the rustic camp kitchen with exposed beams and timber pillars.

Indeed, new appliances, concrete slab and fire-safe wall sheeting, stainless steel bench tops and new sinks now enable Lakes Bushland Caravan & Lifestyle Park to host New Years Eve functions, resident get-togethers and caravan groups safely and comfortably.

“Planning was quick and easy as we have 17 years experience in running parks, so we have a good understanding of how guests like to use the space,” says April.

“This renovation was completed about 2 years ago and since then it is used by a huge number of guests.”

Shared facilities at the campfire-friendly park include a swimming pool, a grassed exercise area for dogs, playground and tennis courts.
