Savvy caravanners are a step closer to hitting the tracks in style now that the latest Vivid Explorer range is rolling out Australia-wide.

Manufactured by premium builder Urban Group, this revitalised entry-level off-road tier teams a robust black-coated X-Treme box chassis and a Cruisemaster DO35 coupling with 3.5T-rated TEKO TuffRide suspension standard.

Here, Bill Parsons for Urban joins Warren Parrot at Bendigo Leisurefest to explain why this rig is turning heads with a price tag still starting under $90K.

2026 Vivid Explorer: Affordable Off-Road Luxury

  • Chassis: Black-coated X-Treme box chassis
  • Coupling: Standard Cruisemaster DO35 V3
  • Frame: Timber-free Polytech frame
  • Inclusions: Washer-dryer combination shown

Timber-Free Polytech Frame Construction

Durability comes standard with the timber-free Polytech frame. Using a blend of polyurethane and fiberglass on a TIG-welded aluminium roof frame, the Vivid Explorer eliminates rot risks and ensures superior structural integrity for long-term ownership.

Off-Grid Solar and Battery Power

The latest Vivid Explorer specification sports a sophisticated off-grid pack comprising 500W of solar and a 300Ah lithium battery system. This upgraded capacity allows travellers to power various appliances remotely for longer stays off-the-grid.

Interior Luxury Standard, washer-dryer combo shown

Inside, the van surprises with high-end features often reserved for more expensive tiers. The layout displayed at Bendigo features an L-shaped lounge and includes a washer-dryer combination as standard. Club Lounge options are also available, making the premium touring experience accessible to a wider audience.
