Royal Flair unveiled the stunning Royal Flair RD01 campervan at Melbourne Leisurefest riding on a Mercedes-based model and featuring a clever and unique slide-out ensuite.

  • Slide-out design maximizes internal floor space
  • Mercedes Sprinter chassis w. rear wheel drive
  • Enerdrive package powering 3000W off-grid inverter
  • Diesel heater taps main fuel tank

From the shoulders of a half a century of design experiences, it’s amazing what fresh eyes can see. Take this gorgeous campervan from Royal Flair unveiled at Melbourne Leisurefest. Designed and fabricated by CEO Billy Deralas’ daughter Raquel – it embodies the space saving adjustments Royal Flair is known for in a unique way.

Revolutionary Slide-Out Ensuite

At the Royal Flair RD01’s heart, a slide-out wardrobe that extends to reveal a full shower and toilet ensuite. Raquel’s clever design maximises internal floor space at the slide while ensuring the bathroom remains fully functional and accessible as needed. It feels spacious indoors with room for a table when retracted. Impressive stuff, given the nimble 7m Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 base.

Built on a Luxury Mercedes Platform

A rear wheel drive, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis offers excellent traction building upon the 2.0L turbo-diesel engine-9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Drivers can tap into the advanced MBUX multimedia system for stress-free navigation and a high-definition reversing camera for easy access into camp.

High-Capacity Power System

The Royal Flair RD01 provides decent off-grid power for a campervan of its size, thanks to the robust Enerdrive electrical package. Together, a 3000W inverter, Enerdrive B-TEC 300Ah slimline battery and 400W roof-mounted solar panels run appliances between powered camps – supported by a gas cooktop and grille (not shown) for extended off-grid stays.

All-Season Touring Comfort

Royal Flair RD01 takes a multi-fuel approach to keep you off-grid, with a diesel heater and instant hot water unit conveniently tapping into the Mercedes-Sprinter 71L main fuel tank.

As shown, the RD01 offers twin single day beds that convert to a double where required. Other campsite comforts include a Thule electric awning and Cowfish Vantenna for radio and TV reception. It’s beautifully finished with brush gold finishes, olive-coloured cabinetry, a mottled splash back and distinct interior panelling.
