Aussie manufacturer Freebirds Caravans to unveil a new body shape, custom next-tier sound system, leather trimmings and a premium fitout at the Warrnambool Caravan & Outdoor Leisure Show.

  • New body shape
  • Premium custom sound bar solution
  • Family van
  • Leather upholstery & soundproofing
  • Redesigned toolboxes & picnic tables

Hearing rumours of a new body shape for its 2026 models at Freebirds Caravans headquarters, 16 Lara Way Campbellfield, we ‘jumped the fence, camera in hand (figuratively)’ to learn more.

Working fast, all we could ‘pap’ was the rear roof trim, gritty mud tread and new soundproof detailing–that, frankly, saved us from getting caught.

Redesigned for Off-Grid External Living

What we know about this new 21ft 6in family caravan, is that it’s fully off-road with full access to all appliances off-the-grid. There’s greater emphasis on the external living spaces, too, with remodelled picnic tables and fully enclosed toolboxes at the front and rear undergoing a major redesign.

A New Tier of Sound and Comfort

Notably, Freebirds introduced subwoofers and strobe lighting to its sound system arsenal that can integrate with like-systems at camp.

While inside, this Freebirds 2026 21ft 6in caravan represents a new tier for the established manufacturer, a popular industry supplier with its own growing fan base.

Core changes include new soundproofing trim, all-new hardware and premium leather upholstery.

Freebirds 2026 21ft 6in Specs and Price

With all these new appointments, full off-grid power, furnishings and revitalised sound, the Freebirds 2026 21ft 6in van will retail competitively at about $105,000.

Notably, this van hasn’t undergone a final weight check yet, but Freebirds estimates it will sit at around 2850kg Tare.
