Looking for the best things to do in Byron Bay? Our travel guide compiled and experienced by experts covers the top attractions, from the stunning golf club and ocean adventures to unique art experiences that capture the creative spirit of this iconic town.
Taking on a Stunning Challenge at the Byron Bay Golf Club
This has to be one of the most stunning golf courses on the coast, situated near Australia’s most easterly point with incredible ocean views from several vantage points. But don’t let the beauty fool you, Byron Bay Golf Club is a challenging 18-hole championship course that will test every part of your game! We found that the key to success here was to find your “happy place” Byron golf style and enjoy the magnificent setting. After a round, the clubhouse is the perfect spot to unwind, with a great deck offering panoramic views.

An Unforgettable Underwater Encounter with Out of The Blue Adventures
While some of the crew were on land, the rest of us took to the sea with Out of The Blue Adventures, and what we saw was just incredible. Each trip is led by a dedicated Marine Biologist, so you know you’re in good hands. On our snorkelling trip to Cape Byron Marine Park, we were privileged to see massive manta rays, some sharks, and beautiful turtles swimming in their natural habitat. It was a beautiful day on the water, snorkelling with turtles certainly took the edge from a challenging game of golf when it was all said and done!

Embracing the Creative Spirit at an Art & Wine Experience
It was time to slow down, chill out, and embrace the creative spirit of Byron Bay. We found the perfect place to do it at the Art & Wine Experience, a creative workshop located right in the heart of town. You bring your favourite wine, and their wonderful hosts guide you in creating your latest masterpiece over a three-hour session. Itโs a sensory experience of art, wine, and music that encourages you to relax with friends. Who knows, a solid art therapy session may even help improve our golf game!
