Today is day 2 of our 5th Summer Series, Go Make Some Memories Convoy for Charity, raising money and awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation!
To say that today was magical is an understatement, a select few of the cast, crew and caravanners were taken on a whale watching cruise by Fishpen Charters, it was such a remarkable experience for those who were lucky to jump on board! Witnessing a family of whales frolicking right next to the boat, up close and personal will be unforgettable!
Unfortunately, a few of our team members were sea sick, “a family that spews together stays together”! They are looking back and laughing now!
During the time that our team members were venturing at Fishpen Charters, a few of our caravanners strolled the streets of Merimbula rattling their tins for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We’re so grateful to all the general public of Merimbula and all travellers alike for opening their pockets and sharing their stories with us!
Continuing with the theme of marine life, Angie and Tania were treated to a spectacular drive along the foreshore from Adams Prestige Classics and Motors, before heading off to the Merimbula Aquarium and Warf Restaurant. The whole team enjoyed a relaxing (or you could say recovering) mid-afternoon walking through the Aquarium, finding nemo and other exotic fish, the weird and the wonderful.
Today marked our first Happy Hour and it went off without a hitch! It was such a fun and successful evening, our 8 Best of the Best Caravans/RV’s were on display for everyone to view and Eden Smokehouse and Mimosa Wines got involved with some delicious taste testing.
Through the Happy Hour we raised more money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through Raffle Tickets, Merchandise and Gold Coin Donations. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who attended, we had a fabulous time meeting and talking to our viewers, we hope you had a great night!
