There is nothing like driving along the open road taking in the beautiful tranquility surrounding you, it’s so peaceful and refreshing seeing nature at its finest, lush green grass, birds chirping, cows mooing and the sun shining over the hill tops through the valley.
Today we packed up our cars, caravans & cabins and said goodbye to our amazing hosts for 4 days, Big4 Tween Waters Holiday Park. We travelled from Merimbula to Marlo, and what a stunning drive it was. When travelling in a convoy it is very important that everyone communicates clearly and ensures that all have understood the procedures that are about to take place, especially when the camera crew need to advance ahead (roughly 10 mins) to pick a location to pull over and film the caravans driving by the beautiful scenery.
As we travelled closer to our destination, the Marlo Caravan Park and Motel, we could see the beautiful ocean and sand dunes along the coast line of Marlo, this amazing view certainly topped off our drive. We arrived at our very welcoming accomodation and got settled in for our stay.
Now, if you have been following our Summer Series in past years, than you know that we do Challenges for Charity, this is a fun little competitive game/activity that gets the hosts and carvanners all rivalled up and ready to for some healthy competition. Todays 2nd Challenge for Charity was one that required a lot of team effort and communication (as they say communication is key)! Macca & Fireman Ron were team 1 and Tania & Prousty were team 2, this particular challenge involved one team member being blind folded and the other having ear muffs over their ears, the team member with the ear muffs had to instruct/guide the blind folded team member through hitching up the caravan (voice only, no touching)! I won’t give away who won so you will have to stay tuned and watch the episode airing January next year!
As the challenge finished up, a few of us headed down to the local pub (just across the road, very convenient) and enjoyed the stunning views off the balcony, some of the caravanners got their camping chairs out and started playing the guitar (and of course there is always singing), check out this video here by Firemon Ron and the crew! They aim to have one for every caravan before the end of the trip (they have 3 already, so 5 to go, stay tuned for all of them)!
We have our next Happy Hour on tomorrow night, so if you’re in the area make sure you come on down for FUN and entertaining night!
