The park features well established trees, spacious grassy powered and unpowered sites (many of them drive-though) and 14 spotlessly maintained cabins. With local pubs, cafés, pool, cinema and many other attractions just a short stroll away, guests enjoy the luxury of leaving their vehicles behind and exploring their surrounds on foot. Bordertown is known as the cultural centre of the Tatiara. Art lovers will enjoy the Walkway Gallery, which hosts national and state touring exhibitions. Culture buffs can learn more about one of Australia’s most iconic prime ministers who was born in Bordertown, Bob Hawke, at the Bob Hawke Gallery. The Bordertown Recreation Lake is just around the corner and has walking trails that take you past three public artworks and you can also canoe here or fish for yabbies, redfin, and perch. Poocher Swamp, on Cannawigara Road (13 kilometres west of Bordertown) is a spectacular wetland full of wildlife, birds, and mature river red gums. Uncover the mystery of the region’s runaway holes, where water flows through a hidden, underground network of limestone cavities to provide Bordertown with fresh water. We offer powered and unpowered sites, drive through sites as well as a range of cabins to suit the most discerning holiday-maker. Minlaton is a short 2 hours drive from Adelaide, South Australia. Situated in the centre of the Yorke Peninsula in the scenic township of Minlaton, is the picturesque Minlaton Caravan Park. Kingston-on-Murray Caravan Park is a picturesque and peaceful family-owned park situated on the Murray River, in a secluded setting just 2 km off the Sturt Highway. Our award-winning park offers friendly, personalised service, powered and unpowered sites and a range of cabins to cater for all budgets, as well as extensive facilities for our guests to enjoy.
Our powered sites are shady, grassed and have the option of drive-through. Our cabins include Ozshacks through to Deluxe Ensuites so there’s an option for every traveller, including the pets.
Our park has a spacious undercover BBQ area and modern camp kitchen with tables and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining at the end of the day. The swimming pool is an ideal spot to cool off in the crystal clear water, or to lie on a sun lounge and read a book. We also provide a laundry, accessible facilities and a kiosk.
Take a short stroll through the park and you will come to the majestic River Murray. Spend time fishing, partaking in water sports on the river or simply admiring the beautiful bird life that abounds this wonderfully scenic and peaceful part of the river.
For the canoeing enthusiast, the popular Chamber’s and Nockburra Creeks are easily accessible from the park and offer excellent wildlife and birdlife. We offer canoe hire and a private jetty, as well as a boat ramp nearby.
