After a rainy night at the Jindabyne Holiday Park we all awoke to the gorgeous Autumn sunshine that the Snowy Mountain region is known and loved for. Angie, Macca and Adele all went for a brisk morning walk into town to get a morning hit of coffee before heading back to the park to be treated with a delicious omelette made by their Director Chris. Very spoilt indeed!
Macca and Adele kept the giggles in check as they filmed a segment on the New Age Caravans 14ft Gecko. Adele and the Caravanning with Kids family had road tested the 18ft Gecko during last years Summer Series and she was keen for Macca to show her around the smaller model.
The whole crew headed towards Thredbo Alpine Village after lunch where they were greeted by Scott and the team from the High Country Cheese & Wine Festival. They celebrated all things wine & cheese in the Kosciuszko Room at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel, chatted with the locals, listened to some live music and enjoyed a fabulous afternoon. Everyone gave the festival a big thumbs up and Angie and Adele were caught sneaking back to purchase a few bottles of some unique local wines they had tasted and loved.
The day was topped off with a ride on the Kosciuszko Express. The scenic chairlift is open 365 days a year. The Kosciuszko Express Chairlift is 1.8km long and rises 560 vertical metres. The ride takes about 15 minutes one way and offered up some of the most spectacular views of the Snowy’s and Thredbo that the crew had ever seen. You could hear lots of oooooo’s and arrrrrhhhhh’s and WOW’s as the crew were lifted to the closest access point to Mount Kosciuszko. Absolutely breathtaking and a must do activity if you are heading to Thredbo.
Stay tuned as Macca, Angie and Adele enjoy more adventures in their New Age Caravans amongst the gorgeous backdrop of Jindabyne and Mount Kosciuszko then head towards Canberra!
