Well it’s that time of year again. It’s the Dometic Follow The Sun Convoy For Charity. Join us while we take the 8 Best of the Best caravans and RV’s and travel down the Eyre Peninsula for our 6th annual Summer Series, all while raising money for The National Breast Cancer Foundation
Along for the ride we have Avida, Coromal, JB Caravans, Universal, New Age Caravans, Nova Caravans, Sunland and Windsor. We will be stopping in Whyalla, Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay, Elliston, Streaky Bay and ending our trip in The Gawler Ranges.
In every town we stop in we will be hosting a happy hour, this gives us a chance to meet the locals, listen to some great local acts, and show off the 8 best caravans. So, come down and have a drink with some of the cast and crew from What’s Up Down Under.
This year we decided to mix it up and kick off the Summer Series in Nagambie, for the Annual Nagambie Lakes Concert, set in the beautiful Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park. The concert kicked off to a roaring start with some poetic comedy from Prousty. After Prousty was done and the crowd was able to contain their laughter, The Wendy Stapleton Trio stepped out on to the stage. Within minutes the Trio had people on their feet belting out classics, such as Take Me To The River and The Shoop Shoop Song (Its in His Kiss), nothing brings a crowd together like a little Betty Everett. Just when you think the night couldn’t get any better the SOS ABBA Tribute Band started performing. Between the retro costumes, classic hits and authentic accents you couldn’t help but feel you were back in the 70s, everyone (literally everyone) was on their feet dancing and singing along. The night ended with a spectacular fireworks display, proving yet again that the Annual Nagambie Lakes Concert is an event not to be missed.
Now we head off to Whyalla to officially start The Dometic Follow The Sun Convoy For Charity.
