Renowned for its excellent fishing, Port Rickaby is also an exceptional place for swimming in the sheltered, sandy bay which hosts the annual Vacswim classes during January. Beyond relaxing on the beach, Port Rickaby offers an array of outdoor activities from scenic walks to snorkelling.
Tennis courts are available for hire and there is access to a boat ramp, which facilitates beach launching. The lookout encompasses panoramic views, which stretch across the charming township and stunning coastline. Local dolphins are often seen playing in the azure waters and on many evenings glorious sunsets light-up the sky.
Situated on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, 18km North of Minlaton, is the scenic township of Port Rickaby, home to Richard and Michelle’s lovely Port Rickaby Caravan Park, nestled between coastal sand dunes and overlooking sublime seascapes. Powered sites, unpowered sites, ensuite cabins are all available – and you have plenty to do in the surrounding areas!
Scenic walking trails are a must, and if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of the local dolphins swimming in the waters.
