Address: Bowen, QLD, 4805, Australia
Situated at the top of the Whitsundays, Bowen has a very rich and interesting history; our town is the oldest town in North Queensland, first established in 1861, several years ahead of Townsville (1866) and Mackay (1869). It is also known as the birthplace of the Kensington Pride mango (fondly referred to as the โBowen Specialโ).
Bowen offers visitors and our community a veritable paradise with eight beautiful beaches to enjoy and explore, plus a multitude of outdoor sports, including fishing, standup paddle boarding, golf & tennis. Our beautiful walks and trails can lead you to outstanding views of the town and bays.
