Today was full of two exciting adventures, exploring Raymond Island and cruising on a yacht. We were blessed with beautiful weather which added to the tranquility and serenity we experienced.
On a side note one of our team members had a Mexican stand off with a Swan that wouldn’t let her into her cabin. To say the least, the swan out smarted her for 5 minutes as she ran from one side of the cabin to the other trying to get it to move!
You may or may not know, to travel to Raymond Island from Paynesville you need to catch the ferry, we caught the ferry over and was greeted by Victor from Ride the Koalas who kindly set us up with our tout-tout style bikes, and we rode around the island trying to spot Koala’s. Did you know that Koalas sleep for 22 hours a day. We didn’t see many Koalas as you normally would as they were hidden away with their young. To wrap up the ferry trip back, we had a coffee along the water then ventured back to the caravan park for some lunch.
For the afternoon, we went on luxury yacht sailing through the water ways and saw come amazing caves, the personal tour stopped at the Metung Pub where we enjoyed a relaxing beverage before heading back.
The remaining team members who didn’t go on the Yacht were waiting eagerly for us to return (we were gone for 3 hours or so) to have the delicious dinner that our catering girls had prepared for us. Its an early night for us WUDUer’s as we pack up and leave for Traralgon tomorrow morning.
